What can you do when you feel stressed?

  • Stop
  • Hit your PAUSE button
  • Step back or walk out of the room
  • Take a few deep tummy breaths to self calm
  • Take Action – what can you do?
  • Ask for help
  • Seek support
  • Take control

To experience less stress:

  • Walk for thirty minutes every day, finding the half hour to exercise makes the rest of the day more manageable and you feel on top of things rather than feeling weighed down. 
  • Talk out your worries or concerns with a friend or partner. The moment we do that, we feel better as there is more clarity and we are less burdened
  • Set Goals to deal with the situation, you may not be able to do everything, but what can you do? It’s like how would you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

  1. There are things you have to DO
  2. There are things you may need to DELEGATE
  3. There are things you can DELAY
  4. There may be something you have to DUMP!

Event + Response = Outcomes

Most people blame the EVENT; but you may have no control over that, you only have control over your RESPONSE to the EVENT; so

You may not be able to change the EVENT, but you can change you RESPONSE, and that may change your OUTCOME
